Artistic Designer

In our interpretation of the play, The Taming of the Shew, Jason Min was assigned the role of Artistic Designer. As an artistic designer, Jason had to research about clothing from our era, the 1920s, and compare it to that of the Elizabethan era.

Jason completed his research over spring break before the Thursday and Friday we met to film in order to allow more accurate attire to be worn during the recording. He also wrote brief descriptions on how each main character's clothing fit the 1920s era, later comparing and contrasting them to those of the Elizabethan era.

Because our group felt the role of Artistic Designer would be a bit too much for one person to handle, we separated the sub-roles of drawing and putting together the portfolio from research and descriptions on each costume. Joyce Chew, our amazing fountain of youth and brilliant Producer, Director, and semi- Artistic Designer, was assigned the task of drawing characters from our project in clothes from the 1920s and the Elizabethan era. Though our group started a bit late assembling the portfolio, Joyce still managed to put everything together and draw clothing/designs over a period of two days.
